Zype Wins SXSW Accelerator 2015 for Entertainment and Content!
For the last couple months, we've been revving up for this year's SXSW Accelerator in the Entertainment and Content technologies. From a field of over 500 applicants, Zype was selected to compete for the title in this year's program, which is the marquee event of SXSW Interactive Festival’s Startup Village. The competition features 48 startups from around the globe presenting innovative products in front of a live audience and panel of expert judges that includes successful entrepreneurs, investors and industry influencers.
And we couldn't be more proud to have been selected the winner in the Entertainment and Content Technology category. A big congratulations to our team, who built a stellar product that won the attention and support of the SXSW Accelerator judges. Until late Fall of last year, we were heads down in stealth mode, focused on product and client acquisition. Now, we've launched the Zype platform along with partnerships with Shoutfactory and Digital Media Rights. We rolled out our Dynamic Player Technology and our turnkey solution for creating Roku and OTT apps; but this is just the beginning.
And to be recognized by SXSW is a solid testament to not only the work we've put in but to the vision of what's ahead for Zype as we scale this business.
What's Next
Zype recently published One Click Set Top Publishing - a feature that takes all of the guess work and costly development cycles out of taking premium video to set top marketplaces like Roku. More easy to use features to make premium video publishing accessible to everyone, including direct integration with Vimeo Pro accounts, are on the horizon.
What is amazing about SXSW is that it surfaces technologies like Zype to a new audience. We've already seen a huge spike in interest from content creators and licensors of all sizes. The process of applying, pitching, revising, and competing with such amazing companies from around the globe in multiple rounds was really beneficial.
