New Enhancements to Playout 2.0
Add Midroll Ads to Videos in Playlists and Program Blocks
Now instead of just placing midroll assets on the timeline, you can auto-insert midroll into Playlists and Program Block content using ad timing cues from Zype’s CMS. If you use Playlists and Program Blocks to automate your programming operations, this will make it much easier to generate more revenue by monetizing content with midroll ads.

Adding midroll to Program Blocks in Playout 2.0
Zype Playout Scheduler now has the ability to ingest and utilize existing ad timings from the Zype CMS, and allows you to modify or create new ad timings directly from scheduler. You can choose to enable automatic midroll insertion with a default ad pod slate, and edit your channel in the Zype Playout Scheduler to adjust midroll ad timings.

Ad asset is automatically inserted at each of the ad timings
Dragging the asset with midroll ad timings to the timeline allows you to see the selected ad asset is automatically inserted at each of the ad timings. If needed, you can easily modify (ex. update, add or remove) ad timings for a video within the Scheduler for ad timings that originate from the Zype CMS.
This latest update also lets content owners monetize long-form content with midroll for greater monetization opportunities. For more on midroll ad insertion in Playout 2.0, view our Help Center article here.
New Support Packages Give More Access to Support Team
With expert product knowledge and extensive customer experience, our global support team is committed to helping you optimize your video workflows and deliver a broadcast-quality streaming experience for your customers.
Zype now offers three tiers of support packages (General, Advanced or Premium) so that you can pick the right level of support from our award-winning support team according to your specific business needs. While all Zype customers have General Support included in their plan across all Zype product lines, you can choose to purchase Advanced Support and Premium Support if you’d like more direct access to our support staff or faster response times. If you’d like to upgrade your support package, reach out to your Account Manager.
Add-On Services for Live Event Monitoring & More
To ensure that all customers have access to the services they need in order to build premium streaming video solutions, Zype recently introduced Add-On Support services that allow customers to pick from a wide range of services that our Support team can provide. Services range from app design and configuration services, dedicated technical engineering support, and real-time live event monitoring for high-profile events. - Category Selection Improvements in Zype Admin - Soon users will be able to search for Categories directly within the Edit Video and Playlist pages so they can more easily select Categories to tag to videos and playlists
